Take a test drive in the new 2018 Cadillac XT5 with ELCO Cadillac!

The 2018 Cadillac XT5 is back and better-than-ever for 2018. With a handful of new innovations and improvements, you’re bound to be impressed.

The biggest change for the 2018 model year is the XT5’s heated steering wheel. This is included on most trim levels and gives you the ideal combination of luxury and comfort.

The XT5 comes in four different trim levels: Base, Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Platinum. All trim levels feature plenty of power, especially the standard 3.6-liter V6 engine that delivers 310 horsepower. All-wheel drive comes standard on the Platinum trim level while an advanced front-wheel drive system welcomes you on other trim levels.

Style is unbeatable in the 2018 XT5, starting with features like swept-back headlights and bold LED running lights. On the inside, wood accents can be found throughout your cabin, making for a stylish interior.

Something else that’s new for the 2018 XT5 is a lighter body. The new XT5 has lost a few pounds, which gives it a sporty feel and more agility on the road than before. A fully independent suspension gives you extra help on the road, too.

If you want to see what the new 2018 Cadillac XT5 is all about, come down to ELCO Cadillac and see it for yourself.

What to Expect from the 2020 Cadillac Escalade

What to Expect from the 2020 Cadillac Escalade - Ballwin, MO
Current 2018 Cadillac Escalade – what will the future 2020 Cadillac Escalade look like?

The year 2020 may seem like a big jump into the future, but it will be here in just over two years! With the change into a new decade, we will see some big updates on the Escalade. In fact, according to Automobile Magazine, the 2020 Cadillac Escalade is expected to come equipped with an independent rear suspension.

With this change, the Escalade will offer buyers a flat cargo floor once all the seats have been folded down. This means owners won’t have to detach the third-row seats anymore to get the cargo space they need.

Along with this suspension update, the new Escalade will likely borrow some styling cues from the sleek, sexy Escala concept that made its debut at the 2016 Pebble Beach Concours. This would give the Escalade a curvier, yet still bold look.

Finally, by 2020, the Escalade is likely to get the latest version of Cadillac’s Super Cruise technology along with a 4.2-liter twin-turbo DOHC V8 engine that is found in the Escalade. There could even be a plug-in hybrid model to step up the Escalade’s efficiency game.

What changes would you like to see in a future Escalade model? To see the current Escalade, stop by ELCO Cadillac and take it out for a test drive today.

2017 Cadillac XT5 Replaces the Cadillac SRX

2017 Cadillac XT5

The 2017 Cadillac XT5 officially replaced the Cadillac SRX, currently standing as the only crossover in the revered luxury brand’s lineup. While more crossovers are slated for release in the coming years, the Cadillac XT5 arrives with more features and a better design than the model it replaced. Here’s a closer look at how the Cadillac XT5 compares to the Cadillac SRX.

Like the Cadillac SRX, the Cadillac XT5 features seating for up to five passengers in a spacious cabin designed for the modern passenger. It’s also available in front-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations.

However, many of the changes come down to what lies under the hood.

The Cadillac XT5 carries an upgraded version of the SRX’s standard engine. The new 3.6-liter V6 engine offers 310 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. That’s two more horsepower and five more lb-ft of torque than the Cadillac SRX offered.

The Cadillac XT5 also comes equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission with Electronic Precision Shift. The now-discontinued Cadillac SRX featured a standard six-speed automatic transmission.

The Cadillac XT5 features a lightweight architecture that drops 165 lb. when compared to the weight of the Cadillac SRX.
