Thanksgiving in St. Louis

Thanksgiving in St. Louis
The Ameren Thanksgiving Day Parade is one way to celebrate Thanksgiving in St. Louis.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year… almost! Before we get to celebrating Christmas, we have to be sure not to leave out that wonderful holiday in between – Thanksgiving! Here are a couple of ways you can celebrate Thanksgiving in St. Louis this year.

Thanksgiving Day Parade
No, not the Macy’s one – St. Louis’s own! The Ameren Thanksgiving Day Parade is in its 32nd year running and just as fun (and big) as ever. This year, there are nearly 130 separate groups marching in the parade – so there’s sure to be something for everyone, from balloon animals to antique Cadillacs.

The Ameren Thanksgiving Day Parade will march from 7th Street to Market Street and kicks off at 8:45 a.m. And of course, Santa Claus will be at the end of the parade to send everybody off into the holiday season.

Hungry Turkey 5K Run
Want to earn that Thanksgiving feast? Start your morning off with a run. The Hungry Turkey 5K welcomes every runner out there, from ages six and up. It’s a great activity to do with the whole family since adults and kids can register together and run together.

No matter how you celebrate Thanksgiving, it’s sure to be fun as long as your family is by your side. From all of us at ELCO Cadillac, we want to wish you a happy Thanksgiving.
