The 2019 Cadillac XT4 luxury SUV stands out in its segment for its sophisticated styling, impressive performance, and advanced technology. Here are five things we love about the new Cadillac XT4:

  1. The powerful turbocharged engine: The Cadillac XT4 takes its power from a turbocharged four-cylinder that cranks out 237 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque.
  2. An intuitive infotainment system: Cadillac’s User Experience infotainment system is miles ahead of its competitors. Cadillac’s system uses physical buttons and knobs instead of using unreliable touchscreen controls. The system, with an 8-inch screen, is very easy to use and comes with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility.
  3. More rear space: Rear-seat passengers can enjoy more room in the back than they could in competing compact and subcompact SUVs. The XT4 boasts best-in-class rear legroom at 39.5 inches.
  4. Maximum comfort: The inviting leather seating and advanced climate system make the ride in the XT4 highly pleasant. But the comfortable ride depends on more than just that. The 2019 Cadillac XT4 also includes available Active Sport Suspension with adaptive shock absorbers, which make the ride even more smooth and calm.
  5. Excellent fuel economy: The 2019 Cadillac XT4 earns up to 30 miles per gallon on the highway.*

2019 Cadillac XT4 debuts at New York Auto Show

Cadillac XT4 2019

Cadillac is adding a brand-new crossover to its lineup for the upcoming 2019 model year, a compact crossover to compete with the other luxury offerings in this segment, for which demand has grown exponentially in the last couple of years.

The Cadillac XT4 debuted at the New York Auto Show in March, where it made waves thanks to its exclusive new SUV platform, along with a powerful 2.0-liter 4-cylinder twin-turbo engine that puts out 237 horsepower. Paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission, the XT4 will get a projected 30 mpg on the highway.

The XT4 starts an expansion of the Cadillac lineup, which will offer a new Cadillac every six months for the next three years. The XT4 is also the first vehicle to feature Cadillac’s new “Y” trim strategy, with two trims branching off from the base Luxury trim into Sport and Premium Luxury. With distinctive grille designs and other accents, these trims are made for two very different customer bases.

Cadillac aims for a more youthful market with the XT4, which is why the team that created it was made up of young designers. Young, single drivers who want utility but don’t need big passenger cars are a booming demographic that the entire auto industry is catering to.

Rethinking Standards: The Cadillac XT4 Debut

Cadillac XT4 debut

The long-awaited Cadillac XT4 is set to debut during the New York International Auto show at the end of the month, and the premium model promises to wow crowds. The XT4 will first make an appearance at the world-renowned Cadillac House in Manhattan on March 27 in anticipation of the show on March 30. The new model is a smaller crossover SUV that take many of the best aspects of existing models and combines them in one package. At ELCO Cadillac, we can’t wait to see what the Cadillac XT4 debut brings at the end of March.

According to Motor Authority, the XT4 will be the third SUV in the Cadillac lineup, as it will join its place alongside the XT5 and the Escalade. The XT5 is a mid-size model that has a combination of space and efficiency, while the Escalade is a full-size model with tons of seating, premier comfort, and the latest amenities. The XT4 is set to fit in a smaller segment, providing an urban-friendly ride and impressive handling.

“Cadillac in 2017 recorded its second-highest sales mark in the brand’s 115-year history, delivering 356,467 vehicles worldwide and resulting in a 15.5 percent sales increase year over year. That total should grow with so many new models on the way,” notes Viknesh Vijayenthiran at Motor Authority.
